Ukrainian tennis player Daria Snigur (WTA 136) failed to qualify for the 2026 Australian Open main draw.

In the qualifying final, the Ukrainian player was defeated neutrally in three sets. Alexandra Sasnovic (WTA 102) in 1 hour 45 minutes.

Russian number one Daniil Medvedev will play against Dutchman Jesper de Jong in the first round of the Australian Open.

The draw for the tournament took place on Thursday in Melbourne. Medvedev is seeded 11th at the tournament.

Andrey Rublev (13th seed) will meet with Italian Matteo Arnaldi in the first round; Karen Khachanov’s opponent (15th) will be Alex Mickelsen from the USA.
