Russian tennis players Mirra Andreeva and Anna Kalinskaya reached the second round of the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane, Australia.
In the opening match of the tournament, Andreeva defeated compatriot Diana Schneider with a score of 6:2, 6:3. The meeting lasted 1 hour 18 minutes.
Kalinskaya beat American Bernanda Peru in the first round – 6:2, 6:1.
In the next round, Andreeva will play against another Russian, Lyudmila Samsonova (4th seed), Kalinskaya will meet with Belarusian Victoria Azarenka (8th).
