Djokovic helped the Serbian tennis team reach the quarterfinals of the United Cup

The Serbian national team defeated the Czech team in the group stage match of the United Cup tennis tournament.

The Group E match took place in Perth (Australia) and ended with a score of 2–1. In the first match, the world number one, Serbian Novak Djokovic, beat Czech Jiri Lehechka with a score of 6:1, 6:7 (3:7), 6:1.

The second game between Serbian representative Olga Danilovic and Czech Marketa Vondrusova ended in favor of the latter with a score of 1:6, 6:3, 3:6.

In the decisive match in mixed doubles, Olga Danilovic and Hamad Medjedovic defeated Miriam Kolodzieva and Petr Nouza – 4:6, 7:6 (7:2), 10:8.

The Serbian team took first place in Group E and reached the quarterfinals of the United Cup final, where they will play against the Australian team.

The United Cup will end on January 7th. The Russian team does not take part in the tournament.
