Russian tennis player Natalya Vikhlyantseva believes that Roman Safiullin is capable of getting into the top 10 of the ATP rankings at the end of this season.
Safiullin ranks 42nd in the world rankings. Last season, the 26-year-old Russian reached the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.
— I remember when he played in juniors, he was on a par with Medvedev and Rublev. Then some problems arose, but I think that Roman is still training, playing, and now he has a team that supports him.
Of course, top 10 at the end of the season is a global goal, but achievable. But from my own example, I realized that it is necessary to set intermediate goals for the season. Probably, for starters, this is the top 30, and then move to the top ten,” Metaratings.ru quotes Vikhlyantseva as saying.
