Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz showed a champion’s game in the final of the tournament in Indian Wells (USA) against Daniil Medvedev, said Alexey Selivanenko, vice-president of the Russian Tennis Federation.
The meeting ended with a score of 7:6 (7:5), 6:1 in favor of Alcaraz, who received the second seed. Medvedev was seeded fourth. The fight lasted 1 hour 42 minutes.
— Daniil had an excellent tournament in Indian Wells, adapting to changing conditions along the way and discovering new features in his game. We can, of course, say that Daniil did not succeed in everything in the final. But overall, Carlos played at such a level and at such a pace, pushing him even further at key moments, that this was his day and his championship game,” RB Sport quotes Selivanenko as saying.
