Sabalenka lost to Ukrainian Kalinina in the third round of the tournament in Miami

Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka failed to reach the 1/8 finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami.

In the third round, the second racket of the world was defeated by Ukrainian Angelina Kalinina (32nd seed) with a score of 4:6, 6:1, 1:6. The athletes spent 2 hours and 2 minutes on the court.

In the next round, Kalinina will play against the representative of Kazakhstan, Yulia Putintseva.

Sabalenka performed at a tournament in Miami after the news of the death of her former lover Konstantin Koltsov. The passing of ex-Pittsburgh hockey player and coach Salavat Yulaev became known on Tuesday. The Miami-Dade County Police Department (USA) announced the beginning of an investigation into the suicide of a 42-year-old Belarusian specialist. Sabalenka called the incident an unimaginable tragedy and asked to respect her privacy during such a difficult period.
