“I won’t say that there is a clear favorite. Daniil will get ready, there will be a tough fight” – Olkhovsky about the match between Medvedev and Sinner

The winner of two Grand Slam mixed doubles tournaments, Andrei Olkhovsky, refused to name the favorite in the semifinal match of the tennis tournament in Miami between Russian Daniil Medvedev and Italian Jannik Sinner.
The meeting will take place on Friday. The Italian has 25 wins in his last 26 singles matches. Medvedev won six of ten matches against Sinner, but lost to him in the final of the 2024 Australian Open.
– It will be a good match. Medvedev is in good shape, I like the way he plays. As for Sinner, he has proven himself to be great this season. Medvedev played the previous match well and cleanly. Yes, sometimes there are breakdowns, but mostly Danya plays confidently and in decisive moments.
I expect a good match, I won’t say that there is a clear favorite, because the score in head-to-head matches is 6-4, but Sinner has won the last four matches. Sinner is playing very, very well, but it seems to me that Medvedev will tune in and there will be a stubborn fight,” Olkhovsky told Metaratings.ru.
