Vice-President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RFF) Alexey Selivanenko named the reasons for Andrey Rublev’s defeat in the second round match of the Masters in Monte Carlo with Australian Alexei Popyrin.

The Russian tennis player lost to the Australian in two sets with a score of 4:6, 4:6 and ended his performance at the tournament.

— Sensation is probably too common a big word. But, of course, this is not exactly the expected result. As for the reasons, probably after the incident in Dubai, Andrei, on the one hand, began to strictly control his emotions, and on the other, he has not yet found a calmer way to express them, which every player still needs. There’s a very fine line here,” Selivanenko told RB Sport.
