Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova failed to reach the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid.
In the second round match, Kudermetova, who received the 17th seed, was defeated by Argentine Maria Lourdes Carl. The meeting lasted 2 hours 15 minutes and ended with the score 4:6, 4:6.
In the next match, Karl will play against Jelena Ostapenko from Latvia (9th seed).
