Russian tennis player Elina Avanesyan made it to the second round of the tournament in Rome.
Avanesyan beat Spaniard Cristina Buksha in the first round with a score of 6:7 (3:7), 6:0, 7:5. The meeting lasted 2 hours 36 minutes.
The next opponent of the 21-year-old Russian will be Czech Barbora Krejcikova (25th seed).
