Gracheva defeated the seventh racket of the world at the start of Roland Garros

French tennis player Varvara Gracheva has reached the second round of the French Open, which takes place in Paris.

23-year-old Gracheva, ranked 88th in the WTA rankings, beat world number seven Maria Sakkari from Greece – 3:6, 6:4, 6:3.

In the next match, Gracheva, who previously played for Russia, will play with the winner of the match between Bernarda Pera (USA) and Nao Hibino (Japan).
