Former world number one Yevgeny Kafelnikov said that Russian tennis players played well below their capabilities at the current French Open.
The last Russian to finish his performance at the tournament was Daniil Medvedev, who lost to Australian Alex de Minaur in the fourth round.
— The Russians’ result at Roland Garros is sad. No one made it into the second week, what else can I add. “Everyone played below their capabilities, and by a lot,” Kafelnikov told RB Sport.
Roland Garros main draw matches take place from May 26 to June 9.
