Tennis player Mirra Andreeva admitted that she was under pressure due to the fact that she was the only Russian representative at Roland Garros.
On the eve of Andreeva, in the 1/8 of the tournament, she turned out to be stronger than the representative of France, Victoria Gracheva (7:5, 6:2).
– There is a little pressure. Yes, I’m the last one left, it’s pressure. But it’s okay, it’s always there,” Andreeva is quoted as saying by the Championship publication.
On June 5, Andreeva will compete with the second racket of the world, Arina Sabalenka from Belarus, to reach the semifinals of Roland Garros.
The tournament will end on June 8.
