In the quarterfinals, Kalinskaya faced world number three Aryna Sabalenka. The Belarusian, seeded second in the tournament, was unable to finish the match and withdrew at 1:5 in the first set due to a shoulder injury.

Earlier, Kalinskaya advanced to the quarterfinals after Czech Marketa Vondrousova withdrew after she injured her hip after slipping on the grass during the match.
