Russian tennis player Alexandrova withdraws from Wimbledon due to illness

Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova will not play at Wimbledon, the press service of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) reports.
Alexandrova, seeded 22nd, was scheduled to face Britain’s Emma Raducanu in the first round. The match was scheduled for Monday.
— The Wimbledon matches haven’t even started yet, and we already have a loss. Ekaterina Alexandrova has withdrawn due to illness. We wish her a speedy recovery, — the statement says.
Lucky loser Renata Zarazua from Mexico will replace Alexandrova in the Wimbledon main draw.
The current winner of the tournament is the Czech Republic’s Marketa Vondrousova.
