The first round matches of the Olympic tennis tournament involving Russians Pavel Kotov, Ekaterina Alexandrova and Elena Vesnina will not take place on Saturday due to weather conditions, the press service of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) reports.
It is noted that on July 27, eight matches on open courts were cancelled due to rain, including the match between Kotov and Swiss Stan Wawrinka in singles, as well as the game between Alexandrova and Vesnina against Czechs Karolina Muchova and Linda Noskova in doubles.
There is currently no information on when the postponed matches will take place.
On Saturday, Russian tennis players Daniil Medvedev and Diana Schneider are scheduled to take to the court.
