Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva has dropped out of the Olympic singles tournament
Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva has finished her performance at the Summer Olympics in Paris in singles.
In the first round, Andreeva was defeated by Poland’s Magda Linett with a score of 3:6, 4:6. The match lasted 1 hour and 27 minutes.
In the second round, Linette will play against Italian Jasmine Paolini, who was seeded fourth.
Andreeva will also take part in the Olympics in doubles with Diana Schneider and mixed doubles with the world’s fifth-ranked player, Daniil Medvedev.
Earlier on Sunday, Ekaterina Alexandrova also retired from singles competition.
