Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova failed to reach the second round of the WTA 500 tournament in Washington (USA).
The Russian, seeded ninth, lost to the US representative Taylor Townsend with a score of 2:6, 2:6. The match lasted 1 hour and 9 minutes.
For a place in the third round of the competition, Townsend will compete with the winner of the match McCartney Kessler (USA, Q) – Maria Bouzkova (Czech Republic).
