Alcaraz defeats Auger-Alassime to become first finalist at Paris Olympic tennis tournament

Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz has reached the men’s singles final of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
Alcaraz, seeded second, beat Canada’s Felix Auger-Alassime (13) 6-1, 6-1 in a match that lasted 1 hour and 16 minutes.
The 21-year-old Spaniard became the first finalist of the Olympic tournament. The three-time winner of the Grand Slam tournaments will compete for the gold medal of the Paris Games with the winner of the match Novak Djokovic (Serbia, 1) – Lorenzo Musetti (Italy, 11).
Auger-Alassime will play in the bronze medal match, against the loser of the Djokovic-Musetti pair.
