Rublev lost to world number one Sinner in the quarterfinals of the Cincinnati Masters
Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev failed to reach the semi-finals of the Masters tournament in Cincinnati (USA).
In the quarterfinal match, the 26-year-old Russian, seeded sixth, lost to the world’s number one tennis player, Italian Jannik Sinner, with a score of 6:4, 5:7, 4:6. The tennis players spent 2 hours and 26 minutes on the court.
Sinner managed to take revenge on Rublev for the defeat a week ago. On August 11, the Russian beat the Italian with a score of 6:3, 1:6, 6:2 in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Montreal (Canada). In the personal confrontation between the tennis players, Sinner is leading with a score of 6–3.
In the semi-finals, Sinner will play the winner of the match between Alexander Zverev (Germany, 3) and Ben Shelton (USA, 12).
