Timofeeva to play Rakhimova in second round of US Open qualifying

Russian tennis player Maria Timofeeva defeated Francisco Jorge of Portugal in the first round of qualifying at the US Open.
The match ended with a victory for the Russian with a score of 7:5, 6:4. The game lasted 1 hour 44 minutes.
In the semi-finals of the qualification, Timofeeva will meet her compatriot Kamilla Rakhimova.
Russian Valeria Savinykh ended her performance in the qualification, losing in two sets to Ukrainian Daria Snigur – 4:6, 4:6. Another representative of Russia, Polina Kudermetova, lost to American Mary Stoyana in two tie-breaks.
