Opponents of Russian tennis players in the first round of the US Open have been determined

The opponents of the Russian tennis players in the first round of the US Open have become known.

The draw for the tournament, which will run from August 26 to September 8, took place on Thursday.

Russia’s top seed Daria Kasatkina was seeded 12th, and will play against Romanian Jacqueline Cristian in the opening round. Mirra Andreeva (seeded 21st) will face Camila Osorio from Colombia, and Diana Schneider (seeded 18th) will face Nadia Podoroska from Argentina.

The opponents of the number one ranked player, Polish Iga Swiatek, and the second ranked player in the world, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, will be determined later.
