Russian Alexandrova advances to second round of US Open, Blinkova leaves tournament

Russian tennis player Ekaterina Alexandrova has reached the second round of the US Open.
At the start of the competition, the Russian defeated Bulgarian Victoria Tomova in three sets with a score of 6:7 (4:7), 6:0, 7:5. The opponents spent 2 hours and 33 minutes on the court.
In the next round, Alexandrova will face American Iva Jovic.
Another representative of Russia, Anna Blinkova, lost at the start of the US Open. In the first round, she lost in 59 minutes to her opponent from the USA, Emma Navarro – 1:6, 1:6. Veronika Kudermetova, who lost at the start to Belgian Elise Mertens – 6:3, 4:6, 3:6, is also leaving the tournament.
