Safiullin defeats American Forbes in first round of US Open
Russian tennis player Roman Safiullin has reached the second round of the US Open.
In the first round match, the 27-year-old Russian defeated American Matthew Forbes 6:4, 7:6 (7:2), 6:2. The tennis players spent 2 hours and 28 minutes on the court.
Safiullin’s next opponent will be Italian Matteo Arnaldi, who is seeded 30th at the US Open.
