Djokovic lost in the third round of the US Open and will end the year without a Grand Slam title for the first time since 2017
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic lost to Australian Alexei Popyrin in the third round of the US Open.
The match lasted 3 hours and 20 minutes and ended with a score of 6:4, 6:4, 2:6, 6:4 in favor of Popyrin. In the next round, the Australian will meet American Frances Tiafoe.
Djokovic will end the season without a Grand Slam title for the first time since 2017. The Serb has 24 Grand Slam singles titles. Djokovic won the US Open last year. His third-round loss will drop him from second in the world rankings to at least fourth place.
