Russian hockey player Michkov attended Djokovic’s match in the third round of the US Open
Russian hockey player Matvey Michkov posted a video on social media, filmed at the stadium during the third round match of the US Open between Serbian Novak Djokovic and Australian Alexei Popyrin.
The game ended with Popyrin winning 6:4, 6:4, 2:6, 6:4. Djokovic was the reigning champion of the tournament.
“A legend,” Michkov wrote on the social network, accompanying the post with an image of Djokovic.
Michkov was selected by Philadelphia at the 2023 NHL Entry Draft with the seventh pick. In July, the club signed the 19-year-old Russian to a three-year entry-level contract.
