“The match between Medvedev and Sinner is a hidden final of the US Open, one of them will be the winner of the tournament” – Yanchuk

Honored coach of Russia Viktor Yanchuk said that the quarterfinal match of the first racket of the world, Italian Jannik Sinner and Russian Daniil Medvedev, will be a hidden final of the US Open tennis championship.

The match between Medvedev and Sinner will take place on Thursday night, Moscow time. The score of personal matches is 7:5 in favor of the Russian.

– It will be an equal match. There is hope that Medvedev is more stable and difficult to break through. Sinner moves the ball well and plays with a lot of tempo. But Daniil is now in good shape, holds the game well and counterattacks. They have equal opportunities, it will be an interesting match. I think it might go to all five sets. Sinner is faster and will have more initiative. But Medvedev is unbending and fights to the end.

The match between Medvedev and Sinner is a hidden ending and the road to victory. One of them will be the winner of the tournament,” Yanchuk told the Championship.
