Olkhovsky told how Sinner is superior to Fritz
The winner of two Grand Slam mixed doubles tournaments, Andrei Olkhovsky, believes that world number one Italian Jannik Sinner is a more experienced tennis player than his opponent in the US Open final, American Taylor Fritz.
The US Open final between Sinner and Fritz will take place on Sunday.
“It seems to me that Fritz is now playing confidently and quickly. Sinner, of course, is more experienced, and maybe this will play a role to some extent. But I think the match will be interesting in any case. Fritz will also struggle, everything will not be so easy and unambiguous.
Sinner is everyone’s favorite, there’s no question about it. But if we look at the semi-final match with Draper, he played over three hours for three sets. That is, there was a decent fight in every set. Honestly, I won’t say that he is head and shoulders stronger, yes, he converts chances more confidently,” Olkhovsky told Soviet Sport.
