World number one Jannik Sinner has become an ambassador and first volunteer for the Winter Olympic Games in Milan, Sky Sport Italia reports.

The Winter Olympic Games will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo from 6 to 22 February 2026.

— I grew up in that part of Italy where everyone skis. Skiing and sports have given me so much to understand what kind of person I am. It is a great honor for me to become an ambassador for the 2026 Olympics,” said Sinner.

In August, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) reported that Sinner had two positive doping tests in March. The athlete avoided disqualification because he proved that the prohibited substance clostebol entered his body by accident. A number of players have publicly criticized the ITIA for its lack of consistency in handling similar cases. On September 10, Corriere della Sera, citing the Court of Arbitration for Sport, reported that the World Anti-Doping Agency did not challenge the ITIA decision.
