Andreeva and Schneider played as a pair for the first time since the Olympics and defeated their rivals from Japan

Russian tennis players Mirra Andreeva and Diana Schneider reached the second round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing in doubles.
In the opening round, Andreeva and Schneider defeated the Japanese Shuko Aoyama and Eri Hozumi. The meeting lasted 1 hour 1 minute and ended with a score of 6:0, 6:2 in favor of the Russians.
Andreeva and Schneider played their first match together as a pair since the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where they won silver.
The Russians’ opponents in the next round will be determined later.
