Kyrgios on WADA’s appeal in Sinner’s doping case: “I hope they don’t care that he’s the number one in the world”
Australian Nick Kyrgios expressed hope that the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) will not be biased when considering the appeal of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) in the case of world number one Italian Jannik Sinner.
On Saturday, WADA said it had appealed the International Tennis Integrity Agency’s (ITIA) decision on Sinner’s doping case to CAS. In August, the ITIA announced that Sinner had tested positive for two drugs in March. He avoided disqualification because he proved that the banned substance clostebol entered his body by accident. Kyrgios has repeatedly criticized this decision, considering it a manifestation of double standards.
– Ha-ha-ha. “I hope that people involved in this matter do not care that he is the first racket of the world and he has money,” Kyrgios commented on the news of WADA’s appeal on the social network.
The Australian also reposted the news, adding the phrase: “Maybe not so innocent?”
Sinner is the winner of the Australian Open and US Open. Since June, the 23-year-old tennis player has topped the ATP rankings.

Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina After winning the WTA tournament in Auckland, she shared an emotional post on social networks.
On her Instagram account, Svitolina posted a series of atmospheric photos from the field and the awards ceremony, where she posed with the trophy, as well as footage of match moments from the final match. The photo of the Ukrainian woman holding a symbolic black jersey cup with the inscription SVITOLINA on the back attracted particular attention.

The victory in Auckland was a major early-season turning point for Svitolina and boosted her confidence ahead of her performance at the Australian Open.
