Gauff beats Badosa and becomes the first finalist of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing
American tennis player Cori Gauff reached the finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Beijing.
In the semi-final match, Gauff, who received the fourth seed, beat the 15th seeded Spaniard Paula Badosa with a score of 4:6, 6:4, 6:2. The meeting lasted 2 hours 21 minutes.
Gauff will compete for the title with the winner of the semi-final between Czech Karolina Muchova and Chinese Zheng Qingwen.
