Italian Jannik Sinner and Russian tennis player Anna Kalinskaya intend to get married, Corriere dello Sport reports with reference to DiPiu.
It is alleged that Sinner proposed to Kalinskaya at a party in New York during the US Open, which ran from August 25 to September 7. The Italian became the winner of this tournament.
The athletes have not yet commented on the information about the upcoming wedding.
At the end of May, the media reported that Sinner and Kalinskaya were in a romantic relationship. Later, the athlete publicly confirmed that he was dating a Russian woman.
Sinner, 23, has been leading the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) rankings since June. He won 16 tournaments under the organization’s auspices, including two Grand Slam tournaments – the Australian Open and the US Open.
Kalinskaya is 25 years old, she is the 14th racket in the world, she has no victories in the Women’s Tennis Association singles tournaments. The best result of a Russian woman at a Grand Slam tournament is reaching the quarterfinals of the 2024 Australian Open.
