Medvedev defeated Tsitsipas and will play in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Shanghai with Sinner
The fifth racket of the world, Russian Daniil Medvedev, reached the quarterfinals of the Masters series tournament in Shanghai.
In the 1/8 finals, Medvedev, who received the fifth seed, defeated the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (10th seed). The meeting lasted 1 hour 51 minutes and ended with a score of 7:6 (7:3), 6:3 in favor of the Russian.
Medvedev will play against world number one Jannik Sinner from Italy to reach the semi-finals of the tournament.
