Russian tennis player Potapova withdrew from the tournament in Ningbo, China

Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova withdrew during the WTA 500 tournament in Ningbo, China, the press service of the competition reports.

In the first round, the 23-year-old Russian woman was supposed to play with compatriot Anna Kalinskaya, seeded seventh. Potapova withdrew from the competition due to a gastrointestinal disease.

After Potapova’s refusal, Kalinskaya’s opponent will be Priscilla Hon from Australia.

Earlier, Potapova finished her performance at the tournament in Wuhan at the second round stage. Anastasia gave up the fight in the second set in the match with American Jessica Pegula with the score 2:6, 0:2.
