Russian tennis player Diana Schneider failed to reach the finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Tokyo.
In the semi-finals, 20-year-old Schneider, the sixth seed, lost in two sets to Chinese Zheng Qingwen with a score of 6:7 (5:7), 3:6. The meeting lasted 1 hour 49 minutes.
Qingwen will play against American Sofia Kenin to win the tournament.
