Rublev on the ATP Finals: “I played three good matches with the right mind”
Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev was pleased with his performance in the group stage of the ATP Final Tournament.
On Friday, 27-year-old Rublev lost to Norwegian Kasper Ruud in the group stage of the ATP Final Tournament with a score of 4:6, 7:5, 2:6 and failed to reach the semifinals of the competition. The Russian ranks eighth in the world rankings.
— Two weeks ago I would have said that it would have been enough for me to simply qualify for the Finals. I played three good matches with the right mind. I think it will help me to have this attitude in most of my matches,” the Championship quotes Rublev as saying.
In 2024, Rublev won the ATP-250 tournament in Hong Kong, and also won the title at the thousandth event in Madrid.
