Jannik Sinner wins the ATP Finals

The first racket of the world, Italian Jannik Sinner, won the ATP Final Tournament, which was held in Turin.

In the final, 23-year-old Sinner beat American Taylor Fritz with a score of 6:4, 6:4. The tennis players spent 1 hour and 24 minutes on the court.

The Italian tennis player did not lose a single match in the competition. He became the first representative of the country to win the Final Tournament. The title won was Sinner’s 18th in his career and 8th of the season.

As the undefeated champion, he will earn approximately $4.8 million in prize money, as well as 1,500 ranking points. Tennis players only get more points for winning at Grand Slam tournaments.

Sinner became the third tennis player in history to win the Australian Open, US Open and Finals in the same season. Previously, this achievement was achieved by the Swiss Roger Federer and the Serbian Novak Djokovic. Sinner also became the first tennis player since 1986 to win the Final Tournament without losing a set. The last time this happened was Ivan Lendl.
