Nadal’s last match. Spain lost to the Netherlands in the Davis Cup

The Dutch national tennis team defeated the Spaniards in the quarterfinals of the Davis Cup with a score of 2:1 in matches.

The outcome of the confrontation between the national teams was decided in a doubles match. Carlos Alcaraz and Marcel Granollers played for the Spanish national team, Botik van de Zandshulp and Wesley Koolhof played for the Netherlands. The meeting ended with a score of 7:6 (7:4), 7:6 (7:3) in favor of the Dutch tennis players.

The Netherlands team became the first semi-finalist of the tournament and will play against the winners of the Germany-Canada pair.

This series was the finale of the career of the 22-time Grand Slam winner, one of the most titled tennis players in history, Rafael Nadal. The 38-year-old Spaniard previously announced plans to retire at this tournament. Nadal lost his singles match to Dutchman Botik van de Zandshulp.
