Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova overcame the barrier of the first round of the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane, Australia.
The Russian’s opponent was Romanian Ana Bogdan, who refused to continue the fight in the third set with the score 2:6, 6:4, 2:0 in favor of Potapova. During the third set, the Romanian athlete took a medical time-out several times, but then decided to end the game early. The match lasted 2 hours 23 minutes.
In the second round, Potapova will play against Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska, who received the 16th seed.
