Russian Mirra Andreeva reached the semifinals of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) tournament in Brisbane, Australia.
Andreeva, who received the eighth seed, beat Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur (12) in the quarterfinals with a score of 6:4, 7:6 (7:2). The meeting lasted 1 hour 29 minutes.
The 17-year-old Russian woman will compete for reaching the finals of the tournament with the winner of the match between the first racket of the world, Belarusian Arina Sabalenka (1) and Maria Bouzkova from the Czech Republic.
