Andreeva defeated the American in the second match in the day. How much energy is there!

Brilliant victory of the Russian tennis player!

Due to the vagaries of the weather, the match of the second circle of the WTA 1000 series tournament with the participation of Mirra Andreeva in Dubai was moved from Tuesday to Wednesday. The Russian woman coped with the markete Vondrooshova, but literally a few hours later she had to return to the court to play with Payton Steerns. It seemed that for the second match for the day our tennis player would not be enough, but how much energy there was in it!

Mirra simply defeated the American.

Dubai rains

Russian Mirra Andreeva started at the WTA 1000 series tournament in Dubai from a victory in two sets over Elin Avanesyan. On Tuesday, our tennis player was waiting for a match against Marquita Vondroushova, but due to sudden Dubai rains, the meeting was postponed to Wednesday. It was possible to cope with Czech-to win the 14th racket of the planet, two parties were needed, which took 2 hours and 46 minutes.

There was no time to enjoy the success of Mirre for a long time, a few hours later it was necessary to return to the court, where, already within the framework of the third circle, it expected the confrontation with the 46th number of the WTA rating Peyton Steerns. The opponent coped in two sets with the representative of Tunisia ONS Zhaber, then defeated Zheng Zinven in three parties. Moreover, the US Tennis player from the United States also had to play the match of the second round on Wednesday in the morning, in this regard she had no advantage.

There was no advantage over Andreeva and in personal meetings, although a year ago in Dubai it was she who came out of the winner from the confrontation with the Russian woman. Mirra took revenge a few months later on Roland Garros, giving an opponent on the court only three games. Our athlete had good chances to win in the next game, but the question arose whether the battery would sit too early?

Victory over fatigue

The beginning of the match for Mirra turned out to be difficult, but it was very important that she managed to scratch his point on the rival. The American was close to returning the debt on the first presentation of Andreeva, but she just did not subtract. The third game was recorded on her own account, unfortunately for her, it was the only victorious game of the American in the first set.

This is not to say that the victory itself went into the hands of the Russians: there was enough protracted draws, each break managed to take with great difficulty. But in almost all key moments, our athlete was better. The result of the starting party for Mirra was a victory with a score of 6: 1.

A successful start did not promise an easy continuation. The risk that fatigue will suddenly fall on the shoulders of the Russian woman, one of which was also conceived, continued to exist. Andreeva took two starting games in the second set, gave the third in the struggle, and then she began to methodically finish the American. An hour and 12 minutes after the start of the meeting, it was possible to record the victory of the Russian woman with a score of 6: 1 in the set and 2-0 in the match.

Again to go to Andreeva’s court tomorrow. In the quarter -finals, she will be confronted with the second racket of the world Igo Schwekents, who a few hours earlier beat in two parties Ukrainka Dayan Yastremskaya. Let’s hope that Mirre will have enough strength for this battle with a top tennis player.
