Australian tennis player Max Persell is temporarily suspended from participation in competitions due to repeated intravenous infusions with a volume of more than 100 milliliters, according to the website of the International Agency for Ensuring Honesty in tennis (ITIA).

At the end of 2024, Persell recognized the violation of article 2.2 of the tennis anti -doping program (using the prohibited method) and from December 12 it was temporarily suspended. Persella disqualification will end on June 11, 2026.

– ITIA confirms that the Australian tennis player Max Persell agreed with the detachment of 18 months as part of the program to combat doping in tennis (TADP).

Persell admitted to violation, on December 16 and 20, 2023 he made intravenous injections with a volume of more than 500 ml. The limit established by the World Anti -Doping Code and TADP is 100 ml for a 12 -hour period.

ITIA sent a notification to the player about the potential violation of the anti -doping rules on December 12, 2024, and on the same day he requested a voluntary temporary removal, which entered into force immediately.

After a full investigation, ITIA, which included the collection of evidence and communication with the player, Persell recognized the violation. The player’s complete cooperation and the exchange of information with ITIA have reduced sanctions by 25%.

The time served in the framework of voluntary temporary detachment is counted within the period of disqualification. Thus, the removal of Persella will end on June 11, 2026. The player will also lose the results and prizes from the date of the first violation of the anti -doping rules (December 16, 2023) to the first subsequent negative sample of doping control, which was provided on February 3, 2024.

During the period of disqualification, Persellla is prohibited from playing, training or attending any tennis events allowed or approved by members of itia (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association, the saying message.

Persella is 27 years old, he is the champion of Wimbledon -2022 and US Open -2024 in a paired category, in total, his assets have eight ATP titles in a paired category. The highest place of the Australian in the ranking of a single category – 40s, in the steam room – the eighth.
