Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreev are announced to participate in the opening championship of the United States in Mikst

Russian tennis players Daniil Medvedev and Mirra Andreev entered the preliminary list of participants in the US Open Championship in the mixture, according to the official website of the tournament.

Competitions will be held on August 19 and 20, the winners team will receive a prize of a million dollars.

In total, at the moment, 16 teams have submitted applications. The deadline for submitting applications will end on July 28, after which eight best teams with the best total rating in a single category will officially become participants in the tournament at that time. The remaining eight commands will be determined using Wild Card.

The format of the mixed tournament will be shortened: the set will not be up to six games, but up to four, with a score of 40–40, the next point will be decisive, and instead of the third set, Ti -breaks will be held.

Medvedev and Andreev performed at the MIKST at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, where they were defeated in the first round.
