Pavlyuchenkova – about the judge’s mistake: “If I lost, I would simply say that I hate Wimbledon and I will never return here”

Russian tennis player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova told how she would react in case of defeat due to a judge’s error on Wimbledon.

On Sunday, Pavlyuchenkova beat British Sonai Cartall with a score of 7: 6 (7: 3), 6: 4. In the first set, with a score of 4: 4, on a decisive draw, the cardal got out, but the electronic system failed, the judge appointed a second draw. All available stop -frames could be seen that the ball went beyond the court. As a result, Pavlyuchenkova lost Gam, and the score became 5: 4 in favor of the cardal, but the British did not submit to the set.

– If you lost the match because of this, which was quite possible, because the rival received a respite, how would you feel now?

“I would just say that I hate Wimbledon and I will never return here.” I would just answer that I hate grass on Wimbledon, as usual we always do when we lose. No, of course, I am very disappointed, but, as I said, I have been working on my psychological stability recently. So, you know, there was simply a decisive moment, but it was just one game and the first set. The match is long as a marathon, and you must play every draw. So, maybe if I lost, it would be simply not my day or she played very well, ”Pavlyuchenkova said at a press conference.

In the quarterfinals, Pavlyuchenkov will play with Amanda Anisimova (USA, 13).
