Veronika Kudermetova became the only tennis player from Russia who made it in the final matches at Wimbledon. Our athlete received an excellent opportunity to get even with the rival for the painful defeat of the four -year ago, which she brilliantly used.

The long -awaited victory

At the beginning of the debut set, all participants in the final were a lot of nervous, making mistakes in harmless situations. This led to mutual exchange by brands in the first three gamies. In a hard -time struggle, a Russian woman with a partner nevertheless pulled out a victory in the starting game. For more than ten minutes the struggle in the third game continued. Veronica and Eliz saved four Break Punts, and then led-2: 1.

After that, the Russian-Belgian duet was supposed to catch the courage, but the opposite occurred. The rivals easily took three gears in a row, including making a break. It seemed that the rapid defeat could not be avoided, but Veronica and Eliz showed character, taking the serving of rivals to zero and equalizing the score in the set – 4: 4. After that, the girls could not be stopped. They took two game in a row, winning the party – 6: 4. Moreover, Veronika played the most important role in the victory, which set the bold point in the decisive draw.

This title was the first for Veronica at the tournaments of the Grand Slam series. Kudermetova also rose in the steaming rating of WTA to the fifth position, becoming the best boyfriend in Russia.
