Mirra Andreeva retained fifth place in the WTA rankings, Anisimova reached fourth position
Russian tennis player Mirra Andreeva retained fifth place in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings, an updated version of which was published on the organization’s official website.
At the US Open, which ended in New York, Andreeva reached the third round. The 18-year-old Russian woman rose to fourth place in the live ranking during the tournament, but in the end the fourth position was taken by American Amanda Anisimova, a finalist of the US Open 2025.
30-year-old Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova rose to 11th place for the first time in her career. Anastasia Zakharova rose 10 positions and entered the Top 80.
Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka won the US Open, defending last year’s title and retaining her status as world number one.
