The world team with Fritz and de Minaur won the Laver Cup in tennis

The world team defeated the European team and became the winner of the Laver Cup tennis tournament in 2025.
The competition took place in San Francisco, America, from September 19 to 21. The world team beat the tennis players from Europe with a total score of 15:9. This year the Russians did not participate in the Cup.
Played for the world team: Taylor Fritz (USA, 5), Alex De Minaur (Australia, 8), Francisco Cherundolo (Argentina, 21), Alex Mickelsen (USA, 32), Joao Fonseca (Brazil, 42), Reilly Opelka (USA, 62), Jason Brooksby (USA, 86). The team captain was Andre Agassi (USA).
Played for Team Europe: Carlos Alcaraz (Spain, 1), Alexander Zverev (Germany, 3), Holger Rune (Denmark, 11), Kasper Ruud (Norway, 12), Jakub Mensik (Czech Republic, 17), Flavio Cobolli (Italy, 25), Tomas Machac (Czech Republic, 22). Yannick Noah (France) acted as the captain of the team.
The decisive match was between Fritz and Zverev, in which the American was stronger with a score of 6:3, 7:6 (7:4).
The tournament has been held since 2017; there was a pause only during the coronavirus pandemic. The world team now has three victories in the Cup, and the European team has five championship titles.
The O2 Arena in London will host the Laver Cup in 2026.
