Medvedev beat Zverev and reached the semifinals of the tournament in Beijing
Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev reached the semi-finals of the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing.
In the quarterfinals, Medvedev, who received the eighth seed, defeated the third racket of the world, German Alexander Zverev, with a score of 6:3, 6:3. The meeting lasted 1 hour 23 minutes.
The tennis players met 21 times on the tour: Medvedev has 14 victories, Zverev has seven.
In the semifinals, Medvedev will play against US representative Lerner Tien. In another match, Italian Jannik Sinner and Alex de Minaur from Australia will compete for a place in the final.
