Daniil Medvedev: “Only Alisa saw my titles, but now it happened in front of my youngest daughter”
Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev said that he had a great feeling about winning the ATP 250 tournament in Almaty (Kazakhstan) in front of his wife and daughters.
In Sunday’s final, Medvedev beat Frenchman Corentin Moutet in three sets. The Russian won the title for the first time since May 2023. The tennis player’s wife Daria and daughters Alisa and Victoria were present at the podium.
“I want to tell Corentin that it is always important to grow and play better and better. Don’t doubt and keep believing, you will still have finals and you will win them. This is the result of hard work.
I want to congratulate the team. We have been working together not long ago, but the results are already there. Thank you very much for this.
It’s my first time at a tournament with my wife and both daughters – it’s a great feeling. And see, they saw this trophy. Only Alice saw my titles, but now it happened in front of the youngest. After Shanghai it was not easy for me, but over the course of the week I came to my senses and now I feel much better. Thank you for your support.
Thank you for organizing such a wonderful tournament. I personally saw that he was cool. Thank you for everything you do for tennis in Kazakhstan. I’m always happy to come and try to please the audience. Many thanks to all the fans for their support. You never know whether you’ll be back somewhere next year, but we’ll see what the future holds for us. “I’m very happy to win here,” Medvedev said at the award ceremony.
